TRAVEL
Africa Oyé are pleased to be working with goCarShare to help people share car journeys to and from the festival. With the average 100 mile car journey leading to over 20 kg of CO2 being produced, goCarShare has the potential to reduce the festival's carbon footprint considerably. It's a great way to save money and as it is built around Facebook you can see if other friends are going too.

By Road from M62: At the end of the motorway take
the A5080 (merges with A5047) Edge Lane heading towards the City Centre. Continue straight ahead for about ¾ of a mile then turn left into Durning Road. Continue straight ahead for ¾ mile through Tunnel Road, and then Lodge Lane. At the end of Lodge lane turn left into Croxteth Road, then take the first right into Croxteth Drive. You are now in Sefton Park. Continue left along Croxteth Drive and you will come to the festival site.

By Rail: Take the Northern Line towards Hunts Cross and get off at St Michaels. Walk down Belgrave Road to Aigburth Road, then cross the road onto Lark Lane and walk the full length of Lark Lane and you'll come to Sefton Park. The walk is about 1 mile.

By Bus: There are a number of buses that will take you to Sefton Park - Saturday & Sunday: Route 75: from Liverpool ONE Bus Station or Great Charlotte Street to Ullet Road - every 10 minutes
Routes 80/80A: from Liverpool ONE Bus Station or Great Charlotte Street to Ullet Road - combined, every 10 minutes
Saturday only: Route 173: from Liverpool ONE Bus Station or Great Charlotte Street into Sefton Park - every 60 minutes.

WHILST AT THE FESTIVAL

Children: We all know kids can go walkabout and be out of sight in a blink of an eye, so please keep an eye on your children at all times. Any lost children must be reported to the stewards on the festival site as a matter of urgency.

Pets: Please keep your dog on a leash, they might not seem scary to you, but they are very scary to children and some adults too. Please keep any scary dogs away from the main festival site.

Security: People are usually very honest at Oyé, but
please keep an eye on all of your belongings at all times.

Toilets: Africa Oyé ~ Nominated 'Best Toilets' at the UK Festival Awards. As always there will be toilets on site at the festival.
PLEASE KEEP OYÉ TIDY!

Let us all continue to enjoy this beautiful green space. Please bag up your rubbish and throw it in the wheelie bins and skips provided.
Keep Oyé Tidy
Love Food Hate Waste   By far the greatest amount of material that is thrown away by residents is food waste (28% = 110,000 tonnes) despite most of it still being edible - more than double that of paper and card.

Not only are we throwing away food and drink that could have been eaten, we are also in effect throwing money away. On average each family throws away £600 worth of food and drink each year because we prepare, cook and serve too much, or we don't use the food and drink we buy before it goes off.
