The Black Routes Consortium The 5 Organisations listed below (including Oyé) will be delivering 20 National Tours and 10 Regional Education Projects between them throughout the UK from April 2009 to March 2011.

Funded by the Arts Council these partner organisations  were carefully selected
because of their past track record, and commitment to bringing quality live Music
from the African and Caribbean Diaspora to the UK and making it accessible to all, either through affordable  ticket prices or location.

The tours will take place in venues large and small  throughout the country.
We will try to showcase all forms of African and Caribbean Music over the next two years from Traditional to Modern, from Rumba to Rap, Music from the big cities to the small  villages. It is our aim to showcase these Musical gems throughout the Country,
in order to inspire a new generation of people playing and listening to live Music.

The members of the Black Routes consortium will also aim to work with Children and Young People to encourage and educate them on the music and culture that hails from Africa and The Caribbean.
