save_the_date_2After attracting crowds of 80,000 people across the event’s weekend last year, Africa Oyé returns to Sefton Park for its 24th festival of African and Caribbean music and culture this June. The Liverpool institution will once again bring together the finest artists, traders and workshops for a weekend of eclectic festivities on 18th and 19th June. Artistic Director, Paul Duhaney is looking ahead to the summer as preparations get underway. “We’ve already got some exciting acts in the pipeline that we’ll be able to announce very soon”, Paul said. “Every year we try and build on our success and raise the standard that little bit more and I’m confident that 2016 will be no different.” Africa Oyé 2016 will take place in Liverpool’s Sefton Park on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th of June. Entrance, as always, will be FREE and more details will be revealed soon.
